Let the Work begin

Congratulations on the purchase of your new van! But now, it’s work time.

Step 1: Gut and clean your van. Get everything out and get down to clean metal. Depending on the condition of your van, eye protection, gloves and a face mask/respirator are recommended.

Protect yourself from harm, especially important when sanding paint or metal.

Step 2: Remove any rust. This can be done best with a palm sander. Use your new respirator!

Step 3: Paint any and all exposed metal. The metal prep is a great option if you have large areas of exposed metal, as the paint might not want to stick. If you only have small scratches don’t bother. The POR 15 rust preventive is prefect for areas that will be unseen (the whole floor). A little batch of automotive touch-up paint in your van’s color is recommended for any metal that will be visible.

Quality brushes are worth it, cheap brushes often leave bristles stuck in the paint.
